Quick answer
A Thunderbird signature belongs to the selected account or identity. Review plain-text readability and any external images.
Applies to
For an authorized mailbox user. Interactive Online manages settings only for mail hosted on the selected service; mail hosted elsewhere uses that provider's settings. The preserved lesson shows an earlier interface.
Steps
- Open the intended application or account and confirm its complete mailbox address and provider.
- Open Account Settings for the intended identity and edit Signature text or its selected signature file. Compose a test from that identity before relying on the result.
Check the result
Confirm the intended account state and test two-way mail when the account remains configured. Preserve access to local-only messages.
Troubleshooting and support
For a certificate mismatch or authentication failure, confirm the exact host and identity. Do not disable certificate validation or recreate an account before protecting its local data.
Contact support from the owning account with the domain, product/version, exact error, time/time zone and redacted evidence. Exclude credentials, session URLs, payment details and private customer records. Confirm any separate application-support scope.
