Quick answer
Magento Commerce: create or edit the intended product while preserving its identifier, URL, price and inventory relationships. A saved product may remain unpublished or unavailable.
Applies to
For a customer who operates their own Magento Commerce store. The retained video uses an older release. Current releases, required extensions and menus can differ. Hosting compatibility, licenses, merchant services and store-development support require their own confirmation; none is automatically included merely because cPanel is available.
Steps
- Confirm the installed Magento Commerce version, authorized store administrator and exact store/language scope. Preserve a recovery copy and use a protected test store for changes affecting transactions.
- Open Catalog > Products, select the exact product or create a deliberate new draft, and review its title, description, SKU, images, price, tax class, stock and category/store assignments before enabling it.
- Save only the intended change and verify the actual storefront and relevant business records before releasing it to customers.
Check the result
Check the public product, representative options, cart price and test order detail. Confirm that availability matches the intended inventory behavior.
Troubleshooting and support
For a missing product, inspect enabled status, store/channel assignment, stock and category visibility before creating a duplicate.
Contact support from the owning account with the domain, product/version, exact error, time/time zone and redacted evidence. Exclude credentials, session URLs, payment details and private customer records. Confirm any separate application-support scope.
