Quick answer
Zen Cart: edit the store's actual homepage content source and store/language scope. A theme setting, document and content block can control different sections.
Applies to
For a customer who operates their own Zen Cart store. The retained video uses an older release. Current releases, required extensions and menus can differ. Hosting compatibility, licenses, merchant services and store-development support require their own confirmation; none is automatically included merely because cPanel is available.
Steps
- Confirm the installed Zen Cart version, authorized store administrator and exact store/language scope. Preserve a recovery copy and use a protected test store for changes affecting transactions.
- Open Tools > Define Pages Editor and the active template's homepage controls, identify the content used by the active homepage and preserve its original. Preview the intended text, links and imagery before publication.
- Save only the intended change and verify the actual storefront and relevant business records before releasing it to customers.
Check the result
Open the actual homepage in a fresh browser view, including mobile, and check links and any shared content blocks.
Troubleshooting and support
If nothing changes, check the selected store, active theme/content assignment and cache before editing an unrelated template.
Contact support from the owning account with the domain, product/version, exact error, time/time zone and redacted evidence. Exclude credentials, session URLs, payment details and private customer records. Confirm any separate application-support scope.
