Quick answer
Create a mailbox with Email Accounts > Create on an email-enabled service. The old video's Create Account screen has been replaced by newer controls on current cPanel.
Applies to
For an email-enabled Interactive Online cPanel service. If Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider handles the domain's mail, manage that service there. Confirm the domain and complete mailbox address first.
Steps
- Confirm which provider handles the domain's mail and check the mailbox allowance. The cPanel address cannot receive mail here unless routing and MX records point to this service.
- Open Email Accounts, choose Create, select the domain and enter the new mailbox name.
- Use a strong unique password and an allocation within the account's storage limit, then create the mailbox. Follow the linked current guide for screenshots and device setup.
Check the result
Find the exact address in the mailbox list and test incoming and outgoing mail using addresses you control.
Troubleshooting and support
If no mailbox capacity is available, ask support to confirm the plan allowance. A successful form submission is not proof of external mail delivery.
If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
