Quick answer
Database Wizard creates a database, a database user and their access relationship. Keep the complete prefixed names and the password available for the application configuration.
Applies to
For Interactive Online cPanel customers with permission to manage the selected service. The tool must be enabled on your plan. Open the correct service from the Client Area before changing anything. The preserved video shows an older interface.
Steps
- Open Databases > Database Wizard. Enter the database suffix, review any account prefix and continue.
- Create a database user with a strong unique password. Store it in a password manager and the application's protected configuration, not in a public document.
- Grant the privileges required by the application to that database. Use All Privileges only when the installer or application requires it.
- Finish the wizard and record the full database name, full user name and the host value provided by the service. Older videos call this MySQL Database Wizard.
Check the result
Confirm the database/user association under Manage My Databases, then test the application's own connection without printing its credentials.
Troubleshooting and support
An Access denied error can mean the wrong prefixed name, password, host or privileges. Create cPanel-managed databases through its database tools rather than phpMyAdmin.
If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.

Video tutorial
The original video is preserved. Its interface or product version may differ from the written guidance above.
If the wizard finishes but the application cannot connect
Compare the saved full database/user names, assignment and service-provided host with the application's protected settings. Use the cPanel database Access denied troubleshooting guide for an Access denied error. The original video and current wizard instructions remain useful for creating the objects; the application still needs its own correct configuration.
