Disable or enable Demo mode in WHM Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Use demo mode only for a separate, empty demonstration account when the service supports it. Restricted controls do not make existing customer data safe to expose.

Applies to

For an authorized reseller or administrator whose Interactive Online service includes the relevant WHM permission. Ordinary website hosting uses cPanel and does not imply WHM or root access. Work only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. The video is an older interface reference.

Steps

  1. Confirm the supported demo-account arrangement with your provider and use an account containing no private data or credentials.
  2. If Manage Demo Mode is available to your role, select only that demonstration account and review the permitted behavior.
  3. Apply the intended enable/disable action and test the resulting restrictions. Do not share a production cPanel login for a sales demonstration.

Check the result

Verify both the expected restrictions and absence of private information before allowing any external visitor access.

Troubleshooting and support

If the tool is absent or a demonstration needs stronger isolation, ask support for a supported alternative rather than weakening a live account.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
