How to modify an account in WHM Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Modify an Account changes account-specific settings. Review package conflicts and shared effects before choosing an override or updating a package.

Applies to

For an authorized reseller or administrator whose Interactive Online service includes the relevant WHM permission. Ordinary website hosting uses cPanel and does not imply WHM or root access. Work only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. The video is an older interface reference.

Steps

  1. Record the exact account's current settings, package and usage.
  2. Open Account Functions > Modify an Account, select that account and change only the authorized fields.
  3. Read any package-conflict prompt carefully. Choose an individual override, new package or shared-package update only when its scope matches the request.

Check the result

Read back the account's effective settings and check the intended cPanel tools or limits.

Troubleshooting and support

For an unexpected package-wide change, stop and compare the saved before-state before changing other accounts.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
