Quick answer

Open a support ticket for the website you want to move and tell us what is hosted there. Include the domain, current hosting company, website platform, email provider, and any required move date. We will confirm the scope and how to provide any access needed for the migration.

Before you request a migration

A website move can involve files, databases, mailboxes, DNS, scheduled tasks, and third-party connections. Tell us whether the site takes orders, accepts bookings, or receives important form submissions. Those sites may need a planned final data transfer.

Keep the old hosting active until the website and email have been checked at the new destination.

Prepare the request

  1. Sign in to your Interactive Online Client Area and open the hosting service for the destination domain. Use the support ticket form if you need help identifying it.
  2. List the domain, current host, CMS, approximate website size, mail provider, and any important launch deadline. Describe any paid plugins, licenses, or services that must continue working.
  3. Identify who controls the domain registration and DNS. Tell us about Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, payment gateways, and other services that must remain connected.
  4. Ask us to confirm what is included, any separate migration charge, and the supported secure process for temporary access. Keep passwords, private keys, mailbox passwords, payment details, and session URLs out of the ticket body.
  5. Keep a current independent backup and arrange the timing of any final content/order transfer. Change DNS only after the destination and recovery plan are ready.

Check the move

Test the main pages, images, login, forms, and any store or booking functions at the destination. Test inbound and outbound email separately. Compare important new orders or submissions before closing the old account.

Contact support

Send the domain, old and new providers, requested timing, and a description of anything that cannot stop working. If access is needed, follow the secure method confirmed in your ticket. A domain-registration transfer is a separate decision from moving the website.
