Quick answer
Default Address controls mail sent to otherwise nonexistent addresses on one domain. A catch-all can attract unwanted mail, so use a deliberate delivery or rejection policy.
Applies to
For an authorized mailbox user. Interactive Online manages settings only for mail hosted on the selected service; mail hosted elsewhere uses that provider's settings. The preserved lesson shows an earlier interface.
Steps
- Open the intended application or account and confirm its complete mailbox address and provider.
- Open Email > Default Address, select the exact domain and review its current handling. Choose the required supported option, such as an SMTP rejection or forwarding to an existing monitored address, then use Change.
Check the result
Test an unused address and a real mailbox separately. A catch-all does not create a distinct mailbox for every address.
Troubleshooting and support
For a missing tool or limit error, confirm the selected service and enabled features. For a delivery problem, check the actual mail provider and routing before changing unrelated DNS or passwords.
Contact support from the owning account with the domain, product/version, exact error, time/time zone and redacted evidence. Exclude credentials, session URLs, payment details and private customer records. Confirm any separate application-support scope.
