Quick answer
An autoresponder's Interval is the minimum number of hours between replies to the same sender. An interval of 8 means that sender can receive at most one automatic reply within eight hours.
Applies to
For an email-enabled Interactive Online cPanel service. If Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider handles the domain's mail, manage that service there. Confirm the domain and complete mailbox address first.
Steps
- Open Email > Autoresponders. Select the correct domain and choose Edit for the intended responder.
- Set Interval to a suitable number of hours. A low value can send repeated replies to busy conversations or automated senders.
- Check the reply address, message and start/stop schedule, then save with Create/Modify.
Check the result
Send a test from an address you control, then send another within the interval. Expect one automatic reply, not one reply per incoming message.
Troubleshooting and support
If a second test gets no reply, the interval may be working as configured. Check the responder schedule and mailbox/domain before lowering it.
If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
