Quick answer
This video deletes an entire mailbox, not one message. Deleting a mailbox removes its server-stored mail. Export required messages and verify the recovery copy before proceeding.
Applies to
For an email-enabled Interactive Online cPanel service. If Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider handles the domain's mail, manage that service there. Confirm the domain and complete mailbox address first.
Steps
- Confirm that you intend to remove the complete email account. For one message, use webmail or your mail application instead.
- Preserve required mail, contacts and device-local folders separately. Identify forwarding rules and applications that use this address.
- Open Email > Email Accounts, locate the full address and choose Manage. Use Delete Email Account and review the confirmation for that exact mailbox. Older interfaces show Delete directly in the list.
- After the authorized deletion, update devices, forms and forwarding rules that still use the address.
Check the result
Check that only the intended mailbox disappeared and that remaining mailboxes still work. Retain the verified export according to your business needs.
Troubleshooting and support
If you deleted the wrong address, stop further changes and contact support immediately. Available backup recovery depends on the service and retained copies.
If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
