Steps
- Locate the actual PuTTY shortcut you use. Open its Properties and select Shortcut.
- Set Run to Maximized when that control is available, then apply/save. Executable-file properties may differ from shortcut properties.
- Launch through that shortcut and adjust the terminal font separately if you need larger text.
Check the result
Confirm the intended shortcut opens a maximized readable window.
Troubleshooting and support
If the Run option is absent, check whether you opened shortcut properties. Do not modify a server setting to change the local window size.
