How to create folders in Roundcube Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Create a Roundcube folder through Settings > Folders, then confirm it appears in the mailbox. Deleting a folder can remove the messages it contains.

Applies to

For the correct mailbox in Roundcube webmail on an email-enabled Interactive Online service. Open it through cPanel Email Accounts > Check Email or the trusted webmail link. Skin, version and provider settings can change labels.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Folders and choose the create/add control.
  2. Name the folder, choose its parent if needed and save. Confirm its subscription/visibility option when offered.
  3. Return to Mail and open the folder. Move one controlled message to verify organization before moving large amounts of mail.
  4. To rename a folder, select it in Settings > Folders, edit its name and save. Before using the folder's Delete action, preserve required messages and confirm how that service handles removal; a deleted folder may affect all synchronized devices.

Check the result

Confirm the folder and test message appear in webmail and in synchronized IMAP clients where expected.

Troubleshooting and support

If a folder is hidden, check subscriptions and the selected parent. Preserve required messages before renaming or deleting a folder.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
