How to reply to or forward messages in Roundcube Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Reply addresses the sender, Reply all includes other listed recipients, and Forward sends a copy to a new recipient. Review the actual recipient list and quoted content each time.

Applies to

For the correct mailbox in Roundcube webmail on an email-enabled Interactive Online service. Open it through cPanel Email Accounts > Check Email or the trusted webmail link. Skin, version and provider settings can change labels.

Steps

  1. Open the intended message and choose Reply, Reply all or Forward for the task.
  2. When forwarding, review whether to use an inline editable copy or the original message as an attachment. An attached original can include private history and headers that are not removed by editing the surrounding message.
  3. Check To/Cc/Bcc, the From identity, quoted history and any attachments. Remove information the new recipients should not receive.
  4. Write the response and send when the recipients and content are correct.

Check the result

Confirm the intended Sent copy and watch for delivery errors. For a delivery test, use an address you control.

Troubleshooting and support

If a reply goes to an unexpected destination, check the original Reply-To and any selected identity. Avoid repeated Reply all attempts to troubleshoot a delivery failure.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
