Quick answer
Sign in to WHM through the secure service-assigned hostname and HTTPS port 2087 when your plan includes WHM access. A normal website account does not require a root login.
Applies to
For an authorized reseller or administrator whose Interactive Online service includes the relevant WHM permission. Ordinary website hosting uses cPanel and does not imply WHM or root access. Work only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. The video is an older interface reference.
Steps
- Obtain the correct WHM hostname and authorized reseller login from your service/account-access information.
- Open the trusted HTTPS address or service link and verify the hostname. Do not bypass a certificate warning to use an IP shown in an old video.
- Complete the supported sign-in and any additional verification. Confirm the intended server/account before using tools.
- Use Log Out when finished; closing a browser tab alone may leave the session active.
Check the result
Confirm the expected reseller identity and owned-account list. This does not establish permission to manage every account on the server.
Troubleshooting and support
For an access or certificate problem, contact support with the hostname and redacted error. Keep credentials out of the ticket.
If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
