How to create a new hosting account in WHM Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Create a new cPanel account only within your authorized reseller capacity. Confirm its domain, owner contact, resource package and secure access handoff before provisioning.

Applies to

For an authorized reseller or administrator whose Interactive Online service includes the relevant WHM permission. Ordinary website hosting uses cPanel and does not imply WHM or root access. Work only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. The video is an older interface reference.

Steps

  1. Open Account Functions > Create a New Account and enter the intended domain and allowed unique username.
  2. Set a strong unique account password through the secure interface and use the correct owner contact and package. Review DNS, mail routing and other account options rather than accepting an unsuitable default.
  3. Create the account and read the complete result. Do not repeatedly submit while an earlier creation is still running.
  4. Provide access through the approved account-access route. Use the secure assigned server hostname before domain DNS is ready; do not bypass an HTTPS warning.

Check the result

Confirm the account in List Accounts and test its authorized cPanel access. Website files, DNS, HTTPS and mail still require their own setup and checks.

Troubleshooting and support

For a partial failure or an existing-domain conflict, stop and ask support to inspect the exact result before creating another account.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
