How to modify an accounts quota in WHM Print

  • 4

Quick answer

Account disk quota limits the hosting account's allocated storage, not just one mailbox. Check current usage and reseller capacity before changing it.

Applies to

For an authorized reseller or administrator whose Interactive Online service includes the relevant WHM permission. Ordinary website hosting uses cPanel and does not imply WHM or root access. Work only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to administer. The video is an older interface reference.

Steps

  1. Confirm the exact account, current quota and usage. Record the previous allowance.
  2. Open the permitted Quota Modification tool and enter the authorized limit in the displayed units. Avoid setting a new limit below required current usage.
  3. Save and check both the effective account quota and its package/override relationship.

Check the result

Reopen the account and confirm the allowance. Test any service that was failing due to storage, allowing for reporting refresh.

Troubleshooting and support

If quota figures disagree or the account is still full, inspect the actual file/mail/database usage with support. A logical quota increase does not prove physical storage is available.

If the problem continues, contact support from the account that owns the service. Include the domain, exact error, time and time zone, tool name, and a redacted screenshot. Keep passwords, private keys, cookies and private message content out of the ticket.
