Before you begin

Identify the visible menu and its current theme assignment. Menus are shared store data; changing a menu used by the live theme can affect visitors immediately. Create the target resource before linking to it and record the existing order and nested links.

What to do

1. Go to Content > Menus and open the menu you intend to change.
2. Add a short, descriptive label and select the actual store resource, or enter the reviewed external destination. Check for an unintended collection tag filter.
3. Arrange the link in the correct position and nesting level, then save. Removing a menu item does not require deleting the product or page it points to.
4. In the theme editor, confirm the relevant header or footer uses this menu. Preview the visitor result before publishing a theme assignment change.

Check the result

Test the link with a mouse, keyboard, and phone menu. Confirm the destination is public in the intended market and that any nested items remain reachable.

If the problem continues

For a missing link, capture the menu name, theme section, and target URL. If the destination was deleted, replace the link with a suitable live resource rather than creating several competing menu entries.
