Google Search Console Insights provides monthly reports that present a comprehensive overview of a website’s performance, featuring data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics. These reports offer five performance views that can help users understand site performance and optimize their website strategy.

To access the Search Console Insights reports, users must click on a link at the top of the Overview page in Google Search Console. The reports include Achievements, Performance on Google, Your Growing Content, Your Most Popular Content, and How People Find You. Each report offers valuable insights into different aspects of a website’s performance and user interaction.

The Achievements report includes two sections: In Progress and Google Search Impact. The In Progress report displays the current rate of clicks a site is attracting and includes a link to a Search Console report showing underperforming web pages. The Google Search Impact report shows the total number of clicks the site has attracted.

The Performance on Google report presents a graph that shows daily fluctuations of site traffic in terms of clicks from Google, providing a visual representation of site traffic trends. The Your Growing Content report lists URLs of webpages that are experiencing an increase in traffic, along with the top search queries driving the growth. This information can be used to identify the reasons behind the traffic increase.

Similarly, the Your Most Popular Content report shows the 15 most popular pages on the website, along with the top search queries associated with each URL, and the total number of clicks to each popular webpage. This report is useful for understanding the topics that the site is authoritative for and identifying areas for improvement.

The How People Find You report displays data about the top search queries used to drive traffic to the website, including the most searched queries and the upward-trending search queries. This information can help stakeholders understand how users are finding the site and which queries are driving the most traffic.

Additionally, Search Console Insights contains hidden tips explaining the data and how to use it, accessible through an icon located in the top right-hand corner of each report. These tips provide valuable guidance for interpreting the data and leveraging it to improve a site’s performance in search.

Overall, Google Search Console Insights is a valuable tool for understanding a website’s search performance and trends, offering insights that can be used to make more informed decisions about SEO strategy. While the report is still in beta, it provides important information for all stakeholders who want to better understand their website and enhance its performance in search.
